BEFCO wheel rakes are designed for efficient hay and straw collection, forming well-structured windrows for smooth pickup by round or square balers. Engineered for gentle handling, they fluff and turn hay to ensure uniform drying, optimizing both quality and baling efficiency. Pull-type wheel rakes are available in 8, 10, and 12-wheel configurations, designed for efficient hay and crop management. Equipped with double-action hydraulic cylinders, these rakes ensure easy transportation and storage, making them ideal for farmers, ranchers, and hay producers.
Built for durability in demanding conditions, BEFCO hay rakes feature tapered roller bearings on the hubs, providing superior strength and longevity compared to standard roller-bearing models. This heavy-duty construction ensures consistent performance across various terrains and workloads.
Additionally, the 8 & 12-wheel rakes offer adjustable settings to spread or turn crops, optimizing drying times and baling efficiency. Designed for reliability and precision, these high-performance hay rakes provide consistent results across diverse agricultural applications.

MAIN FEATURES

  • Working speed of up to 14 mph, low cost of maintenance and ease of use make these units indispensable for raking hay.
  • Floating rake wheels with spring steel tines follow ground contour evenly.
  • Multiple adjustment capabilities allow operator to adjust raking width, windrow width and raking angle.
  • Pull type 8, 10 and 12 wheel rakes with double action hydraulic cylinders for easy transportation and storage.
  • Hydraulic ball valves allow for single side operation and lock pull type rakes during transport and storage.
  • Narrow 8′ transport width allows pull type rakes to be easily transported to different work locations.
  • 8 & 12 wheel rakes may also be adjusted to spread or turn crop.

STANDARD FEATURES

  • Raking (all models)

In the raking position, the rake wheels overlap front to back moving the crop to the center. Proper raking is obtained by positioning the bends, on both the
support arm and the arms with hubs, towards the back of the unit.

  • Turning (models HRC-08V, HRC-12V)

Hay rakes can be used to spread hay that has already been raked. This is
normally done to help wet hay dry faster. If the machine is assembled in the spreading position, all rake wheels will be aligned causing them to spread the hay across the width of the machine. Proper spreading is obtained by positioning the bends on both the support arm and the arms with hubs towards the tractor.

  • Spreading (models HRC-08V, HRC-12V)

In the turning position, each pair of rake wheels overlap front to back turning the forage crop and allowing it to dry faster. In the turning position, the finger wheels are set to work in pairs turning two windrows in each pass. Proper turning is obtained by positioning the bend on the support arm towards the tractor and bends on the arms with hubs towards the back of the unit.

  • Ball valves on cylinders

All HRC wheel rakes are equipped with ball valves at the cylinders.  Ball valves may  be used to rake only on one side or for closing the hydraulic system for transport.

  • Springs

Springs allow for the wheel rakes to have sufficient ground pressure to rake the hay correctly and prevent excessive pressure from lifting up dirt onto the hay.

  • Tapered roller bearings

All wheel rakes are equipped tapered roller bearing mounted in cast steel, greasable hubs. The tapered roller bearings are more durable than the traditional bearings often used by the competition.

  • Upwards bent wheel elbows

RS2 rakes are equipped with upwards bent wheel elbows that allow for increased flow of raked hay through the wheel rake.

  • 8′ transport width

Thanks to it’s frames design, HRC rakes hydraulically fold to an 8′ wide transport width.
